Dr. Raj Suryanarayanan, Professor of Pharmaceutics and William and Mildred Peters Endowed Chair, University of Minnesota. Dr. Sury’s goal of research work is to develop a fundamental understanding of the material science properties of pharmaceuticals (both drugs and excipients) to prepare dosage forms with reproducible and predictable properties.

Industry Research Achievement in Excipient Technology Award:
Thomas P. Farrell,B.S., Ph.D., Director of New Product Development, Colorcon, Inc. Dr. Farrell began working at Colorcon in 1999. During his employment, the team developed many novel coating formulations and product innovations that have led to 5 US patents on which Dr. Farrell is a co-inventor.
